Displaying credentials (education, awards, certificates, etc.) on your profile page is a great way to demonstrate your experience and expertise. We encourage freelancers to list credentials earned, including certifications, professional licenses, degrees, and references to past employment, on their freelancer profile as a way to illustrate their skills and expertise.
In addition to listing credentials, freelancers also have the option of having their listed credentials verified by our partner Justifacts Credential Verification, Inc. (http://www.justifacts.com). When freelancers have their credentials verified by an independent third party, they can substantiate the credential and add credibility to their profile.
Credential verifications typically take 1-2 weeks to process depending on the type of credential and overall volume of credential requests.
To verify your credentials, log in to your Elance account and follow the steps below:
You cannot delete a verified credential, reference, or educational institution from your profile. However, you can choose to hide it from your profile's public view. To hide a credential from your profile, please log into your account and follow the steps listed below:
