Many clients and freelancers prefer to work with written agreements that outline the terms of the project. Not only does writing the agreement help avoid miscommunication before the project begins, but if a problem does arise later, a written agreement helps define each party's responsibilities with respect to confidentiality, project deliverables, payment, or other issues.
