What Is a Prebid?

<p>A provider may need additional information regarding job requirements before they can craft a complete proposal. The Prebid allows the provider to open communication with the client to ask questions and to express interest in the job. Once the provider has all the information they need to submit their final proposal, they can then convert the Prebid into an official proposal with a proposal amount.</p>
<p> To submit a Prebid, the provider enters comments or questions into the "Ask the client a question" field on the job proposal page. This will initiate private messages with the client. The provider must submit a follow-up proposal with a proposed amount and delivery schedule to be hired for the job.</p>
<p> <strong>Note:</strong> Submitting a Prebid uses the same number of Connects as a proposal. Any follow-up proposal does not require additional Connects.</p>
