What Is An Invite-Only Job Post?

admin May 05, 2009

When posting a job, you have the option to make it a invite-only posting.  Only providers that you invite to your job will be able to submit proposals.  This is called an 'Invite-Only' job and is not posted publicly in the job search results.

To post a private invite-only job, choose 'Private' in the 'Job Posting Visibility' section under 'Advanced Options' on the job post form.

If you would like to invite more providers to submit proposals on any job (up to 30), you may do so by following the steps below:

  1. Search for providers with a particular skill or expertise.
  2. Once you have found provider(s) that meet your needs, click on the service provider's name to see their service profile containing detailed service description, experience, skills, credentials, feedback and work samples.
  3. Click the 'Get a Proposal' button on the top right.  You will see an 'Invite to Bid' popup.  If you already have active jobs, they will appear in this list. You can either choose an existing job or create a new one.
  4. You can invite one or more providers at a time by placing check mark(s) in the "Invite to Bid" column and then clicking on the 'Invite to Bid' button at the top of the column. If you already have active jobs, they will appear in this list. You can either choose an existing job or create a new one.

You can also add providers from the job post page by clicking the 'Invites' link in the Overview tab and entering a provider's username to invite them to submit a proposal on your posted job.

Note: You are limited to 30 invites per job posting.
