Verifying Credentials

admin May 03, 2009

Displaying credentials (education, awards, certificates, etc.) on your profile page is a great way to demonstrate your experience and expertise. We encourage Elance providers to list credentials earned, including certifications, professional licenses, degrees, and references to past employment, on their provider profile as a way to illustrate their skills and expertise.

In addition to listing credentials, providers also have the option of having their listed credentials verified by our partner Justifacts Credential Verification, Inc. (http://www.justifacts.com). When providers have their credentials verified by an independent third party, they can substantiate the credential and add credibility to their profile.

How much does credential verification cost?

  • For U.S. based credentials, the cost per verification is $15.
  • For international credentials, the cost per verification is $25.

How long does it take to get a credential verified?

Credential verifications typically take 1-2 weeks to process depending on the type of credential and overall volume of credential requests.
