How do I view my Transactions?

To view your transactions, go to the Manage tab in the top navigation bar and select the Transactions link from the drop down list. The Transactions page is a record of all credits and debits to your Account. Your most recent transactions will be listed first.

On this page, both your Total and Available Balances are displayed. Your Total Balance reflects the total funds that are in your account including any pending transactions for payments, deposits and withdrawals. Your Available Balance reflects the funds in your account which are currently available for withdrawal. Your Available Balance does not reflect pending transactions or deposits that are processing.

NoteIf you have received a payment from you client but it is not available for withdrawal, please do not be alarmed. It is standard practice to wait 3 business days to verify the payment source and fully clear the funds. Once cleared, your funds will be freely available for your withdrawal.

To ensure your funds are available to you once payment is released, we suggest asking your Client to fund Escrow at the beginning of your projects. When Escrow is funded at the onset of work, not only are you protected by Elance Escrow Payment Protection, but your funds will have cleared (as long as 3 business days has passed since funding) and be available for withdrawal.

How to download your Transaction History

In addition to viewing your transactions, you can download them as a .csv (comma separated value) file that Microsoft Excel can open as a spreadsheet.

To download your Transactions, please log in to your account and follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Manage tab in the top navigation then and then select Transactions from the drop down list.

  2. Click on the Download Data link on the left hand side.

  3. Select the date range.

  4. Click the download link and follow the prompts to save the data on your local disk drive.

The data that is downloaded will include the following for each transaction:

  • Date of Payment

  • Payment Description

  • Amount of Payment

  • Name of Job (as applicable)

  • Name of freelancer and/or client (as applicable)

  • Invoice Information
